Understand what a cycle-life figure means
Cycle life is usually stated against a remaining-capacity threshold and a defined test procedure. Depth of discharge, temperature and charging or discharging conditions affect the comparison. A published figure without its conditions cannot tell you exactly how long a pack will last in your application.
Do not confuse cycles with years
Dividing a stated cycle count by daily cycles can provide a rough usage calculation, but it does not predict calendar life. For example, 2,000 cycles divided by one full equivalent cycle per day is about 5.5 years of cycling. That is arithmetic, not a five-and-a-half-year warranty or service-life promise.
Use model-specific evidence
Yinan’s low-speed vehicle catalog lists 2,000 cycles for its 64V and 76.8V series. Ask for the test conditions and remaining-capacity criterion for the configuration under consideration. Do not transfer that figure to a residential or motorcycle product with a different specification.
Record the real operating conditions
For an equipment fleet, log operating hours, charge frequency, ambient conditions and typical state-of-charge range. These inputs are more useful for planning than a generic claim that every LiFePO4 battery lasts a fixed number of years. Track changes in usable capacity and review unusual behavior with the supplier.
Ask about the support package
Before ordering, request the applicable operating instructions, storage guidance, warranty terms and service process. Confirm whether those terms relate to a cell or the complete battery pack. A clear specification makes later performance reviews much more useful.
